NSW Kitchen Bathroom Laundry Renovators Licence

Pathway to NSW Fair Trading Licence

A requirement under NSW Legislation, contractors involved with the installation, refurbishment, restoration and on-site repairs of a kitchen, bathroom or laundry must hold a KBLR Licence.

MSFSS00014 – Kitchen and Bathroom Installer Licence

ACFA provides the training on the specific units required to achieve the necessary skill set to apply for a KBLR Licence through the NSW Fair Trading / Building Commission in NSW. This can also be done via Evidence Based Assessment allowing for previous experience to be formally recognised.

ACFA offers flexible and self-paced delivery options for our KBLR program with prominently online learning through our student management system. The flexibility is designed to allow you to complete training around your current commitments.

This means our KBLR Program is available to anyone across NSW.

We offer rolling intakes to ensure training can commence sooner, without having to wait for the next round of enrolment days.

DURATION – SELF PACED

This program is self paced, allowing participants to complete training at their own pace. Once enrolled, participants have up to 6 months to complete the training program.

 

COSTS

Enrolment and course fees can be found on the ACFA Website. ACFA Members are entitled to a 15% discount on KBLR Fees.

 

Evidence-Based Assessment:

Evidence Based Assessment allows for previous experience to be formally recognised as part of a national qualification. Our assessors are required to verify the required skills and knowledge based on the relevant training package.

Delivery Mode:

This is a workplace delivery program. Training will include workplace projects and activities, on-site assessment and may be supported by online learning activities, discussions and tutorials.

This course is designed by the RTO to be delivered for learners who:

  • Currently work in the cabinet-making and installation sector
  • Have basic computer skills and knowledge of how to use the internet
  • Satisfactorily complete a language assessment

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

To be eligible for this course, participants need to provide evidence of completion of one of the following:

  • MSF31113 Certificate III in Cabinet Making
    (Generic/Kitchens & Bathrooms/Furniture)
  • MSF30213 Certificate III in Furniture Making
  • MSF30322 Certificate III in Cabinet Making and Timber Technology
  • or other trade qualifications as detailed by NSW Fair Trading
